When Jordan scored 50 against the Milwaukee Bucks, it was another example of his ability
to elevate beyond what anyone thought was possible. The 52% shooting efficiency on that
volume of attempts is what separated him from every other scorer in history.

The Rifleman — First Player To Trash Talk Jordan In The Playoffs
Chuck Person was 'The Rifleman' — a three-point shooter before three-point shooting was the dominant
strategy, an Indiana Pacer who competed with Jordan in the playoffs and wasn't afraid to say it publicly. He
averaged 15.2 points per game for his career and was one of the league's best volume three-point shooters
of the late 1980s. He competed hard, talked even harder, and backed it up often enough to be a genuine
problem for anyone who faced him.
The Jordan Connection: Person's Pacers teams were the Eastern Conference team most likely to challenge
Jordan before Reggie Miller's era fully took over. His physicality and shooting range forced Jordan's Bulls to
gameplan specifically for Indiana, which they rarely had to do for other opponents.
